The Co-Founders, Manfred Baudzus and John Coughlan, first met through a sports car club where they, with their wives, enjoyed many excursions in the Australian countryside staying at unique Boutique hotels and enjoying fabulous foods.
Manfred comes from an aviation background and John from a business background specializing in service delivery. Now both are retired and share a lifelong interest in luxury automobiles and travel.
So after many years of exploring and enjoying these excursions plus similar drives in the UK, Europe and North America they believed that, based on their accumulated knowledge over many years, they too could create an exciting and enjoyable experience for like-minded Driving Enthusiasts from around the world, who would appreciate being guided to interesting locations in Australia as part of their broader visit to this Country.
Fred and John’s passion for relaxed driving and sightseeing in the countryside led to the formation of Silver Arrow Classic Tours Pty. Ltd. They developed and curated, unforgettable Four day, Three night guided tours, driving in immaculately presented two seater Open Top Mercedes-Benz roadsters capable of negotiating, in total luxury, the scenic roads and interesting mountain passes the Country has to offer.
Australia is a vast land with so many exciting back roads perfect for exercising driving skills, and along the way offer the ability to stop at interesting locations, dine in excellent Restaurants and enjoy fine wines.
